BORROWED EARTH SPACES
Being so intrinsically connected with the A & D community, Borrowed Earth has initiated conversation about Borrowed Earth Spaces with designers who are leaning towards natural materials and sustainable manufacturing, leaning towards zero-waste. These spaces will incorporate bricks, tiles/panels, bathroom products, objects, carved from stone. They can be hospitality, commercial or residential projects at any scale.
The way it works is, architect/designer selects a block(or two or twenty) for the project. Borrowed Earth, then takes complete responsibility for utilizing the block in its entirety. This can be in the form of tiles, panels, bricks, tubs, vanities, basins, fireplace, furniture, objects, lighting etc.
By selecting a limited material palette and maximizing its use across the entire project, we are not only promoting sustainability but also fostering a unique and cohesive aesthetic.
Collaborating closely with architects and designers will be crucial in bringing this vision to life.
Borrowed Earth will help ensure that the chosen materials are utilized efficiently and creatively in various aspects of the design, from the structure of the homes to the smallest details like tubs and basins. Additionally, incorporating elements of eco-friendly construction practices, such as passive design strategies for energy efficiency and the integration of renewable energy sources, could further enhance
the sustainability of Borrowed Earth spaces.
